Partners
for Careers
Partners For Careers (PFC) provides an employment assistance service for employers and employees to reduce the rate of unemployment in the Aboriginal community. We connect ability with opportunity through employer contacts, employment prospects research and promoting educational opportunities.
Assistance is provided with: identifying your career interests, finding scholarships and school funding, assessing your job skills and strengths, preparing a professional looking resume, preparation for your job interview, finding a job placement, making a smooth transition to work, evaluating job experience and ensuring your smooth passage to permanent employment, and facilitating workshops on job search strategies and success in the workplace.
PFC provides an additional role to Service Canada with Client Assessment and Case Management for Canada’s Youth Skills Link and Opportunities Programs in this area. We actively promote our program services to outlying areas of Cranberry Portage, Sherridon, Snow Lake, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay and Deschambault Lake.
It is our intent to create an awareness in the business community of the benefits of Aboriginal workers/partners/associates in the workplace and to establish a long term relationship between educational institutions, Aboriginal people and the business community.
