The Employment Links Development Centres project strives to strengthen our regions’ capacity to reduce the unemployment rate through two components.
The Employment Development Centre - enhancing and developing personal and pre-employment skills by providing a wide spectrum of opportunity to increase confidence, make career decisions, begin active job search strategies, further skill development or self-employment initiatives. Two Sessions consisting of 17 weeks of programming cover a vast variety of topics such as: Assessing Skills, Recognizing Abilities, Computer Skills, What Employers are Looking for, Certificate Training (ABC’s of Health & Safety/First Aid / CPR/Safe Food Handlers), Education Institute Presentations, Agency Presentations, Motivational/Inspirational Seminars.

Employment Links - Providing technical and technological employment support services to assist with job search strategies, employment maintenance and career decision making. Activities include assistance with Resume and Cover Letter development, Interview Skills, Computer Lab Search strategies and contacts, and tutorial equipped to advance computer skill development. Employment Links also provides access to and Educational consultant to further explore career options, and promotes Employment and Training Service programs to employers.
