Youth Resource Lighthouses Program
The Community Youth Lighthouses Initiative is a community based Crime Prevention Program that provides local youth between the ages of 10 to 17 with the opportunity to actively participate in alternative activities, learn new skills, or the opportunity to meet other youth within the community. All planned activities are provided in a safe and secure environment.
The Lighthouses Youth are active members of the CYRC Youth Council. The Youth Council Committee members are involved in the planning, developing and leading youth activities.
Youth activities take place in the Youth Centre, schools and other community facilities.
The program operates from September to June each year and runs outside of school hours for recreation, sports, arts, music and other identified activities by local youth.
You can also participate in planned Lighthouses activities or presentations by stopping by the CYRC’s Drop-In Centre.
